Go Segawa's work combines painting and sculpture. The artist plays with geometry and dimensions to offer the observer compositions that evoke the virtual aesthetics of a work done with a computer. The artists draws with acrylics or graphite on Plexiglass sheets. He superimposes then the different sheets, resulting in a three dimensional creation. This incredibly meticulous technique resembles Origami, the Japanese art of paper folding.
Light and impressive, Go Segawa's pieces attracts the observer's interest, who sees himself torn between the contemplation of elements in two or three dimensions. His collection called "Dessin/Volume" which he has been working on since 1999 is the perfect example of his questioning about space perception.
